I love this workshop and having access to the foundry in Acacia Ridge, everything is available for use and the setup is amazing. I’m so pleased I had this opportunity to learn the basic techniques of sand casting and moulding.
1st Investment bronze cast from 3d printing.
2nd Investment bronze cast from my crazy organic shape that I had printed on the 3d printer time for cleaning. The use of safety equipment is very important in this process.
Bronze sand moulding cast created from black bean seedpods and the banksia core. I really like the organic shape that was transformed from the mould of original natural seedpods.
My 5th cast was a doorknocker shaped as an anchored which was a preformed cast.
